Afghanistan has always been a volatile region of the world.  No country has ever succeeded in taming the fires that flare violently from time to time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To participate is to fan these fires.  What are the core reasons for wanting to fan these fires?  What is to be gained from imposing a form of governance that the region has never seen and may not, as a whole, desire?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Those areas who will be friendly and more like us governmentally will be that; areas that don't wish to walk that path will not.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is the issue that simple to anyone else?&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">E.
